What’s Happening at MACOA
This year, more than 2,000 students from 10 towns submitted artwork for our Banner Contest, and 384 winning designs were announced on March 27.
Banners will be displayed throughout Arcadia Valley, Bismarck, Bonne Terre, Caledonia, Desloge, Farmington, Frankclay, Fredericktown, Park Hills, and Potosi.
With such a large number of banners to print, production takes several weeks. Each town will receive their banners as they’re completed and will have them proudly hung before Summer.
We are incredibly grateful for our community—parents, teachers, and students—who continue to support the arts, inspire creativity, and help beautify our towns!
Our K–12 Art Show is set to be the largest one yet!
Last year’s exhibition featured around 1,900 stunning student artworks. This year, we are on track to showcase over 2,500 pieces—an increase of more than 31% in submissions!
The show will be open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the MAC ITC Building, giving families, friends, and community members plenty of time to explore the creativity and talent of our local students.
We can’t wait to celebrate these young artists and share their incredible work with you!
Summer Nights Arts Festival returns June 19th & 20th—and this year will be our biggest yet!
We’re thrilled to celebrate our 4th annual festival, now expanding beyond the patio and stretching down Columbia Street to make room for even more creativity, music, and community fun.
Our band lineup has officially been announced, and we’re still accepting artist applications for local creators who want to showcase their work. As always, the festival is completely free and offers something for all ages—live music, local artists, food, and a full range of children’s activities.
Join us for two unforgettable nights of art, energy, and summer magic!
The Future Artist Fund is closing soon—applications are due this Saturday at 11:59 PM!
Last year, four recipients received over $1,500 in total support for classroom initiatives, productions, and supplies across theatre, music, and visual arts programs.
This year, we’re excited to award up to $500 in each category: Visual Arts, Theatre, Vocal Music, and Instrumental Music. These funds help empower educators and programs that inspire the next generation of artists.
If you or your department could benefit, apply now and help us continue growing creative opportunities in our community!
