Mineral Area Council on the Arts is excited to welcome The Punches Family, a talented bluegrass gospel group hailing from Fredericktown, Missouri, for an evening of music and inspiration on Thursday, February 8th, at 7:00 PM.
The Punches Family is a musical ensemble that captures the heart and spirit of the Ozark Mountains. Since 2009, they have been sharing their gifts nationwide, performing at churches, festivals, fairs, and special events. Featured weekly on Great American Gospel TV and Great American Bluegrass TV, they’ve gained fans across the country with their uplifting performances and exceptional musicianship.
The group features Bruce and Bobette Punches, along with their twin daughters, Brooke and Emily. Each member plays instruments, sings, and brings a unique charm to the stage. Their performances are a celebration of family, faith, and tradition, offering a heartwarming experience for audiences of all ages.
Bruce and Bobette Punches have been married since 1995 and raised four musically gifted children. Bruce, a talented carpenter and promoter, and Bobette, a creative soul with a love for crafting and cooking, have made music and family the center of their lives.
Emily Punches, 21, began playing fiddle at age 7 and has since mastered guitar and drums. Known for her rich voice and sweet stage presence, she also works as a barista and is active in her church youth group.
Brooke Punches, Emily’s twin, also started playing fiddle at 7 and later took up dobro and steel guitar. Her powerful vocal work and skillful playing captivate audiences. Offstage, Brooke is a licensed pilot working on her IFR rating and enjoys crafting reborn dolls.
Their shared love of the Lord and commitment to spreading joy make The Punches Family more than just a musical act—they are a testimony to the power of faith, family, and harmony.
