2025 Banner Contest Celebrates 11 Years of Creativity

Theme: “When I Grow Up!”

Mineral Area Council on the Arts (MACOA) is thrilled to announce the 11th Annual Banner Contest, an exciting opportunity for K-12 students from Arcadia Valley, Bismarck, Bonne Terre, Caledonia, Desloge, Farmington, Frankclay, Fredericktown, Park Hills, and Potosi to showcase their creativity and imagination.

This year’s theme, “When I Grow Up!”, encourages students to dream big and think about their future. What do they want to be? Where do they want to go? How do they see the world around them? From aspirations and goals to hopes for the world, this theme invites students to express their unique vision through art.

Winning designs will be turned into vibrant street banners displayed across the participating towns, celebrating the talent and dreams of young artists while adding beauty and inspiration to the community.

Who Can Participate?

The contest is open to K-12 students in public, private, and homeschools in the 10 participating towns.

Key Dates and Details:

  • Submission Deadline: February 7th, 2025
  • Theme: “When I Grow Up!”
  • Judging and Selection: Facilitated by MACOA in partnership with local town officials, representatives, artists, and sponsors, with winners announced shortly after the deadline.

How to Submit:
